Cyst & Lesion Surgery
Removal of jaw cysts and soft-tissue lesions, with apical surgery where indicated.
Cysts in the jaw often grow without symptoms and are picked up on a routine radiograph. Left alone they displace teeth and thin the surrounding bone.
Treatment is surgical removal, sometimes combined with apicectomy where the cyst has formed at the root tip of a treated tooth.
Removed tissue is sent for histopathological examination as a matter of course.
