Wisdom Tooth Surgery

Removal of impacted third molars, planned from 3D imaging.

Third molars are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed beyond repair or pressing on the tooth in front.

Impacted teeth sit close to the inferior alveolar nerve in the lower jaw and to the sinus in the upper. Cone-beam CT is taken beforehand to map that relationship, which is what keeps the procedure predictable.

Swelling for two to three days afterwards is normal. Plan a quiet day after surgery, particularly if you are flying.
